Probono Dungeon Tile Set

Has anyone been able to download this? I really really REALLY want it, but the album is too big for me to successfully download it. Yeah, I read the front page article about having too many items in a cart. Can anyone help me out? I really don't want to have to download 200+ images individually.

Hi Speiltgeist, If you want

Hi Speiltgeist,

If you want the best quality (eg for printing) 1200x1200 you'd use the Cart a dozen tiles or so at a time. Optionally, cycle through the gallery and "right-click\save picture as" [at 640x640 or 1200x1200 depending on which view you are on] two hundred times(!) If printing you may not want them all straight away due to possible ink bankruptcy...

If using Virtual Table Top note that Dorpond on MapTools has two pack releases of these tiles. From memory have 200dpi, 100dpi, and 50dpi versions or something like that (I don't do VTT). Doesn't have them all yet. Indeed they are still being made (outside mansions and rivers the current fad). Only just caught up here on RpgMapShare.

Please also see the "Tiles" subforum in Dundjinni forums for details of works in progress.

Glad they are of interest. Any comments appreciated.

Probono, if you have

Probono, if you have completed sets as zips, I can place them on the server to add to the album.

Hi Steel Rat, that would be

Hi Steel Rat, that would be very helpful for folks like Speiltgeist.

I had been wary of "using double space" here for the same items.

Changes then: the gallery currently as is (with individual tiles) but adding one of more ZIP's to cover a quick download. Or as quick as all those megabytes would be. Alphabetical sort to keep them at the front of the albumn. Will read up of max file size here and get an update in the next week or so.

Or as you think best.

Aside 1:- Chatty asked about getting a gridless version of the Bunker Map, so I'll assume from the above that a gridded and gridless version is acceptable. Will add soon.

Aside 2:- FYI there seems to be five three-star Votes added to many of the recent uploads. Just wondered if you did that or is something odd going on(?)

I haven't voted on anything

I haven't voted on anything recently, so not me.

The max upload filesize doesn't matter as far as me placing a file to be downloaded. I can upload a file of any size to the server and make it available.

Failed to get the ZIP

Failed to get the ZIP uploaded.

Tried with a single 97mb ZIP containing all 234 current tiles, but it wouldn't play.

Cut it into two 50mb halves but it seems to go for half an hour or so but lose connection.

My embarrassing broadband speed may have something to do with it- Download 1.52 mb/s; Upload 0.257 mb/s. Yes, that's where the decimal point is. Oh well, what next...

I'll setup an FTP login for

I'll setup an FTP login for you. Is the email you registered with current?

I didn't know you could

I didn't know you could transmit IP packets over a string connecting two paper cups!

Oh, I can only dream that one

Oh, I can only dream that one day I might have the luxury of a string connecting paper cups...!

@Steel Rat - yes, that email is current.

Took solace by making more mansion house tile variants, which will appear soon.

Steel Rat, can you implement

Steel Rat, can you implement a +1 button?

A +1 button for what?

A +1 button for what?

Actually I am having similar

Actually I am having similar issues:

Trying to download all the tiles from ProBono but when I reach 52 MB the download gets cancelled and the file is incomplete.

So any help on this?

Not really the same, ProBono

Not really the same, ProBono is trying to upload, you're trying to download. 52 mb is pretty small, so I'd have to say it's something on your end.

The issue is, that the actual

The issue is, that the actual download is something about 200 MB, and after reaching 50 MB the dl stops.
Tried it at least five times. When i'm using the map tool to get the files I am getting an error.

Are you trying the same

Are you trying the same download each time, or are they different items? Is it Probono's stuff?

Ok, here's the scoop. This

Ok, here's the scoop. This came up almost a year ago, after upgrading to the latest Drupal-supported version of the Gallery software. I confirmed that my cart download was also stalling, but at about 100mb instead of 50 or so.

Since the server upgrade it looks like the Memory limit for PHP got reduced. I've expanded it as much as I think I should, and have successfully downloaded ProBono's entire album of 400mb.

So, if large carts are still failing, there isn't much I can do about it.

So I can +1 stuff!

So I can +1 stuff!

I'm not familiar with +1. Can

I'm not familiar with +1. Can you elaborate?

On the Scoop, does this mean

On the Scoop, does this mean Albumns can be stuck in the cart, or would that be pushing the update? I still assume no-one should try to get all the maps at once, for example, just wondering how far it goes.

User feedback would be handy - it may be a little late to save Speiltgeist from repetitive stress injury, but how are others finding the new improvements in downloading?

+1
I assume it's like YouTube, where you have +1 (Like), -1 Button (Don't Like) ratings. On Facebook (I think) you have the same - like rating a person rather than the photo. Used to enhance user interaction and (mostly) to help advertisers track everything..!

ProBono has the right of it.

ProBono has the right of it. It's the equivalent of a "like" on Facebook. It's quick and easy feedback with a built-in tally.

EDITED TO ADD: It would be for things like comments, as the uploads etc. already have ratings.

It could very well mean that

It could very well mean that large carts will remain stuck. They do get cleared out automatically after a time. But I always see full site download attempts with carts almost 2gb. No idea if they're getting downloaded, and don't really care, the warnings are there.

I'll see if Drupal has a +1 module, or even Facebook and Twitter thingies, though I rarely use FB and never TWITter.

I've added a bunch of social

I've added a bunch of social media stuff including +1 to the site. Unfortunately comments aren't included.

Ah well. I will be social

Ah well. I will be social anyway. If I hang out here enough, perhaps I will learn to create something!
