New Dungeon Tile Set

Hi Steel Rat,

I've created, so far, 42 Dungeon Tiles, basic then more detailed, 1200x1200pix, 6x6square, 1.5-2mb each, on Dundjinni forums. The ones on the DJ forum are reduced sample jpegs. Link here...

http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=13236&PN=1

I was wondering if they might be best kept here in their own album?

This would of course mean more work for you. Sorry. An album would allow extra ones to be added as has been done in the Modular Starship Tiles album.

All the best,
ProBono.

I can create a new album, no problem. What would you like it to be called?

Hi again SR, I'm naming them

Hi again SR,

I'm naming them Dungeon Tile 01, Dungeon Tile 02, etc. So perhaps the album as "Dungeon Tile Set" would be appropriate.

["Dungeon tile" might also be found more easily on google(?)]

The descriptor line for the populated ones might have longer descriptions such as "arena", "baths", "sewer inlet", "pirate dock", etc.

Thanks!

Hi again Steel Rat, Update -

Hi again Steel Rat,

Update - I've increased the number of png tiles to 50.

Bogie of Dundjinni Forums suggested that if used as jpeg "Cover" types, they can be stamped straight into DJ map. So I've also done a couple of sample jpeg maps that way and posted them here in Fanasy Maps. The maps are not "thought out" but may be of use to someone. [Any maps made would go into the Maps folder leaving the new tiles Album just for the tiles.]

Look forward to the new Album appearing, by which time there may be even more to put in it. Smile

PB.

Sorry for the delay. I've

Sorry for the delay. I've created the new album here: http://rpgmapshare.com/index.php?q=gallery&g2_itemId=45482

It should have all the same permissions as other albums. Let me know if you have problems posting to it.

Hi Steel Rat, I've put the

Hi Steel Rat,

I've put the first five on a test. They work fine.

Will pile them in over the next few days. I will leave out until later the text descriptions, contact sheet, credits, etc, in order to get the actual tiles on first.
[I apologise to recent posters as this set may knock them down the "recently added items" gallery..!]

There are now 68 tiles, and the more detailed ones are 2.5 to 3mb. Note that converting them to jpeg shrinks their size dramatically with trivial loss of detail.

For a sneak preview of (reduced detail) samples of recent filled rooms see here...
http://www.dundjinni.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=13236&PN=1&get=last#...

Four Map examples are currently here on RpgMapShare to see how they might fit together.

Enjoy!

Query - I don't see an option

Query -

I don't see an option to add text at the Album level.

I assume there is a permission for this as I can give an Album overview on the Modular Starship Album. Either a missing permission or I can't find it...

Can you consider this please?

PB.

Hi PB, I made you the owner

Hi PB,

I made you the owner on the new album, so you should have all the same rights now as you do with the Modular Spaceship album.

Thanks for all your contributions!

Thanks SR, Album description

Thanks SR, Album description added and sort order set.

Update... Hi Steel Rat, The

Update...

Hi Steel Rat,

The original batch of 96 tiles are on now.

There are so far 10 map examples using them.

The later maps include some of the 70 or so extra tiles made by Maxxx, Bogie and Mercutio. The tiles by the modders will be posted soon, I'm just humming and hawing over a suitable naming convention for them. There appears no end in sight to how many they'll be. For example Mercutio has just started a cave expansion for them.

Development can be followed on the Dundjinni Forums.

One other thing is that the License was on just the Album, but in case it gets missed I've started going back and adding it to each Map and Tile.

All the Best,
PB.

Sounds good. In case you

Sounds good.

In case you weren't aware, there should be an Edit Captions option available to you when viewing at the album level. This will present 9 items on a page to edit the captions and descriptions instead of doing them one at a time.

Edit Captions - Thanks for

Edit Captions - Thanks for the tip!

I'm not use to galleries so that was a major time saver! The difference between a chore and not a chore. I'm a bit tentative in those areas due to various "delete" options being there...! Smile

Maxxx alone just created 26 more tiles over the weekend (caves and waterways), so it might be expected that I fall a bit behind in posting them here...!

Enjoy!

Sort Order... Hi again Steel

Sort Order...

Hi again Steel Rat,

Never planned the set to get to 104 Tiles. So named them...
Dungeon Tile 01
Dungeon Tile 02
Dungeon Tile 03, etc.
Which is fine up until Dungeon Tile 99, then 100 no longer sorts after 99 but in amongst the early numbers as follows...
Dungeon Tile 09
Dungeon Tile 10
Dungeon Tile 101
Dungeon Tile 102
Dungeon Tile 103
Dungeon Tile 104
Dungeon Tile 11
Dungeon Tile 12, etc.
Still have to put on all the Tiles by the modders (about 80+).
Ah well. Will probably think about thinking about a way round this sort thing eventually.

FYI - could not get on RpgMapShare for a few days this week. Seems to be some sort of multiple log on by myself. Did this some time ago to. Simply solved by waiting a few days when it seems to clear itself.

All the best,
ProBono.

Not much to do about the

Not much to do about the titles except to re-do the captions again.

The login issue was a bad module and a corrupt table. Didn't know it was happening since I hadn't logged in for a couple days myself.

Sort Problem Fixed. Edited

Sort Problem Fixed.

Edited the pictures to change the files NAME...
Dungeon Tile 101
...to...
Dungeon Tile101
...by removing the space. Voila, sort order fixed!

Well, that assumes we don't get to more than 999 tiles.... Smile

lol, whatever works.

lol, whatever works.

Updated to over 217 tiles

Updated to over 217 tiles now, but made a boo-boo with a couple and put them in the wrong place.

Sorry. Named the two offenders "Duplicated item please remove", so they can be found and removed whenever suitable.

Large Cavern Set by Mercutio and Maxxx now included. Will give them a look over in a day or so to double check they all have the right license and usage.

Still haven't posted them all, due to spending the time making more...

P.S.
Happy New Year!

Update - Mansion Set

Update - Mansion Set added.

Now up to 273 Tiles with the Mansion Set added in.

A bit brighter than the drab Dungeon, the Mansion has outer walls with grass and pretty flowers aound them, and a set of insides, most of which can be used straight in the Dungeons also. Some existing Dungeon Tiles would also be usable as Mansion "insides". Stairs lead up and down to allow multiple floors. Extensions include privvy, stable, scrubbers washroom, etc. There's even a sauna, so what else might you need?

Feedback appreciated.

Enjoy!

Update - MEGA-DOWNLOAD

Update - MEGA-DOWNLOAD available,

MEGA-DOWNLOAD - jpeg tiles 001 to 276 plus extras here:

Feedback welcome.

Enjoy!

Extra Tiles. The

Extra Tiles.

The Mega-Download holds 276 Tiles, but...

More Tiles have been added numbered above 276. If you want these, download individually and add to the suggested existing folders from the Mega-Download (e.g. Woods Tiles might go into Mansion or Riverside folders, as they fit both.

If ever there are enough new ones for it to be worthwhile, they will get a extra ZIP made up of them.
