Hello map builders

Hello all,

I have been lurking around for some time and I tried doing some maps myself but none were too goodm, but I thought to myself that I should try to surpass myself and I started looking at some guides here on the forums.

Maybe something good will come out Laughing out loud... at last!

Huzzah! Resources!

So I'm new at this. Very new. Yeah, sure, I played D&D 3.x, well versed in the World of Darkness, but I'll be soon popping my D&D 4e and DM'ing cherry all in one go. Yes, the group's resident rules lawyer will be taking up the mantle of designing a campaign for his fellow players while still learning the system himself, but there's more!

Now you're probably thinking to yourself "What more can he do? What daunting task could he also be burdened with?" Well the design, fabrication and funding for a do-it-yourself interactive whiteboard table, complete with video conferencing (via skype) for proper face to face roleplaying with players abroad.

Ah, and my dearly beloved MapTool. I knew at first sight (last week) that we would be destined to be together forever, siring many a dungeon with adventures a plenty. Alas, I do not yet know how to utilize you properly, blindly fiddling with your settings and tools to brutally hack out the necessities of our relationship. Yet we shall persevere, until I can quickly satiate my longing for dungeon crawling goodness. Thankfully, there is RPG Mapshare to supplement my curiosity in you. With tiles, tokens and objects abound, our journey through the pages of the Beach Wizards will be quite enjoyable.

** On a more serious note, if anyone has any advice on either of these new things (D&D 4e, Dungeonmastering, using Maptool, Interactive Whiteboard Tables, Integrating Skype into D&D) it would be greatly appreciated. **

My Gallery Stuff

For you old-timers here, you know that I add a lot of modern military items to the Objects section. I also add a lot of civilian vehicles, and ordinary modern objects. I deal less with fantasy objects, but did quite a few in the early days of the site. Most fantasy stuff is well-represented on other sites and here by other folks, so I feel less obliged to worry about that.

I've also done a fair number of character sets, mostly generic modern and fantasy stuff for map fillers (adding pedestrians to a map, barflys to your taverns, etc.)

In the last year or so my activities have been severely curtailed, due to having been laid off from my IT job, and having to get a real job where I'm not at a computer all day with lots of free time. Now I build and repair wheelchairs for a locally-owned company here in Western Washington State. It's a pretty cool job, actually, but the pay isn't the greatest.

Anyway, I do this stuff for fun, and get enjoyment out of seeing people use my stuff in their maps. So if you've used something of mine and it isn't posted here, POST IT! Just kidding, though I'd obviously like to see anything posted here, but am just more interested in what people come up with. Some very talented folks have taken different objects and created some truly awesome monstrosities.

Z.E.E. The Zombie Escape Experiment.

Thanks to the discovery of this website I've been able to create some of the battlemap tiles for a campign i'm working on called Z.E.E, the zombie Escape experiment.

I seek no monetary gain from these, anything I've posted already may be used freely in any way possible, excluding ownership. I was waiting until i finished the series, but alas, i have since obtained a g/f, which has stunted my creation of these beauties. Rather then let them rot on my hard disk, i thought id post them here to see if my fellow gamers liked them.

The tiles i would say are "finished" are the following.

* Zeds gas station
* zmart NW, NW, SW. SE
* zawa deli
* Office - NE, NE, SW, SE

Hey people

Well, I've been using this site for a while and I finally decided to give something back!
Although I don't really have much talent creating my own images, I'm not bad at editing other peoples stuff (yes, I take other peoples hard work, play with it for a few minutes, and call it my own...but such is life!).
I plan on trying to make some presets that people can just stamp into a map (think made bedroom/market/etc.)

I'm open to any requests for edits/presets!
